We are advised to generate long, unique and secure passwords per service to reduce the risk of getting our accounts compromised, but there's a bigger problem.
Our email. It's so dear to us and yet we hand it out to internet strangers on a daily basis. If any of the services we use are subject to a data breach, your email is at risk and can be used to cross-reference accounts on other services.
When someone gets ahold of your email, they already have half of your login credentials and can use hacking techniques like brute-force to gain unsolicited access to many of your online accounts, including your email.
Creating a new email per service is hard, so we made it easy.
